Baltic Energy Island at the People’s Meeting

BalticEnergy Island will, of course, participate when Bornholm once again becomes the
fo cal point of the annual People’s Meeting, where politicians, businesses, and interest groups come together for four days of debate and celebration of democracy.

On Friday, June 16 at 10 AM we will take part in a debate about the energy island, discussing the
consequences such a large project has on the environment and the local
community. At the same time, we will discuss the prospects for growth and
employment for Bornholm, as well as the benefits of incorporating research into
the Energy Island project.

On Friday at 1:00 PM, we will discuss a fair green transition in rural areas and examine how the need to quadruple the capacity of renewable energy on land by 2030 can be a driver for local business development and growth. Læs mere.

On Friday at 2:50 PM, together with the Technical University of Denmark and Bornholm Energy and Supply, we will discuss what it takes to connect the upcoming energy islands to local grids. Læs mere.

On Saturday at 12:00 PM, we will discuss with the Danish Association of Landscape
Architects how renewable energy installations will impact the field of landscape architecture on both land and water. Read more.

And last but not least, in collaboration with the danish Social Democratic Party, we invite anyone who is interested to come and ask questions about Energy Island Bornholm. This will take place on Saturday at 2:00 PM. Read more.
